“Being a carer often feels like you are running blind, and this service is someone leading you through the journey, supporting you from the sidelines.”

Join our (free!) online community for unpaid carers.

You're not alone. Come and discuss the ups and downs of caring with people who know best - other carers.

The community enables you to:

  • Get emotional and practical support when caring gets tough - by joining other unpaid carers and experts to discuss topics relevant to you,

  • Hear from people who know what it's like to be in your shoes, with our matching service that connects you to other carers most similar to you for 1-to-1 chats.

Join our safe and supportive online community on Slack - a messaging platform that has individual channels for specific caring related topics.

Please fill out our form below if you are interested in joining and we will send the invite over to your email shortly!

Not sure if you're a carer?

As carers, we often think we're just being a good friend, child, partner or parent and that we don't fit the label of "carer". Maybe we think there's someone providing more support than us, or that because we have support from friends, family or paid carers our responsibilities are "trivial", but that's not the case.

If you cook, clean, bathe or provide other support (such as financial assistance or admin) for someone else - no matter how few hours you feel you do, or whether you are supported by other people - this community is for you.

You are the community.

Our community guidelines:

Share what you wish you had known, let other carers know that they are not alone. Caring can be scary, overwhelming and lonely - let’s support each other through it.

Promoting a safe and confidential space.

Keeping your information safe and private is important to us - you can read more in our data and privacy policy.
We want the Curo Community to be a safe space for carers to share and connect. Please respect the privacy of other people on the platform, and not share other people’s information without their explicit permission.

This is a work in progress, and we want your help.

We are always tinkering and improving the support that we provide, and we need your help to make it better.
Give us your brutal and honest feedback, and please let us know what you want to see in the future.
Our plans are to launch an app version of this community in late 2021. Keep your eyes open for more details on this!

We share wisdom and experiences, not legal advice.

Whilst we know that carers get a lot of value from sharing their own and hearing the experience of others, the information shared in the Curo Community doesn’t constitute legal advice tailored to your individual circumstances. We can’t assume responsibility and don’t accept liability for any damage or loss which may arise as a result of your reliance upon it. For anything important, we recommend reaching out to a professional for personal advice.
